This is a squared rubble extention built in natural sandstone with a hammer dressed finish. The extention was to be built on top of an existing wall with the same finish .
Conservatory, Pedement and Garage
The conservatory base was built re-using the original stone from stripping the gable end .The stone was re-dressed and new cills placed on top . The pediment with bullseye window was built with new sandstone with a hammer dressed finish to match existing stonework. The garage also built in new sandstone has an ashlar finish and a bullseye window to match.
Natural Sandstone Extention
Large natural sandstone ( buff ) extention built with an ashlar finish with 5mm beds and joints. The window cills, jambs and lintol stones were all left with an overhang, as were the corner quion stones, which adds character taking away the bland flat finish. The (white) lime putty pointing finishes it off nicely.
